Education
Dr. Jesse Harris received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech in 2000 followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. In 2012, he received his Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Endodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University while serving as Chief Resident.
Experience:
After graduation, Dr. Harris entered the United States Air Force, completing a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Wright Patterson Medical Center in Dayton, OH. While on active duty, Dr. Harris served as the Officer in Charge of Medical Operations Squadron Dental Flight, 354th Medical Group, Fighter Wing, Eielson AFB, Alaska. Following his honorable discharge in 2009, Dr. Jesse Harris practiced general dentistry for one year in Fairbanks, AK. Shortly after receiving his Master’s Degree, he opened East Coast Endodontics, a private practice limited to endodontics. In addition to his work at East Coast Endodontics, Dr. Harris holds a part-time position as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Philanthropy and Community Involvement:
Dr. Harris is dedicated to helping others and enriching local communities near Richmond, Virginia and around the world. He completed a philanthropic trip to Falmouth, Jamaica in 2005 as a dental student providing care to hundreds of local Jamaican adults and children. In 2008, he participated in a Joint Forces Humanitarian Mission to the Alaskan villages of Kotzebue and Point Hope in 2009, where he provided expert dental care for two weeks. Dr. Harris is a booster to the local school system and participates in a number of non-profit organizations.

In 2015, Dr Harris was honored to be a recipient of Benco Incisal Edge Magazine’s Top 40 under 40.
Personal Life:
Dr. Jesse Harris is a native of Virginia, born and raised in Virginia Beach. When he is not helping patients, Dr. Harris, an avid outdoorsman, enjoys fishing and hunting. Dr. Harris enjoys serving his Hanover County community. He loves hiking and camping with his wife Courtney and their four dogs, as well as spending time with his two sons, Fisher and Sullivan. Dr. Harris also loves music and art projects of any kind.
