Yes. CBCT uses a focused, low-dose radiation beam and is considered safe for dental diagnostics. In fact, our systems emit significantly less radiation than traditional medical CT scans, while delivering far more diagnostic value than standard dental X-rays.

We only recommend a CBCT scan when clinically necessary and always adhere to the ALARA principle: As Low As Reasonably Achievable.

What to Expect During a CBCT Scan

The scan is quick, painless, and noninvasive. You’ll simply stand or sit while the machine rotates around your head for about 10–20 seconds. There’s no special preparation needed, and the images are available instantlyβ€”so we can review them with you right away.
